Dear Lion Spyros Seremidis: Congratulations on the formation and sponsorship of the Athens Leo Club! Thanks to the concern and commitment of Lions throughout the world, Leo clubs have provided young people the opportunity to develop their leadership skills and experience the rewards of community service for over 50 years. Because of this opportunity, both the Leos and the people they serve will benefit. As the Leo club advisor, you will receive two packages. The first package contains detailed information to assist your new Leo club officers. The second package includes information for your Lions club concerning its responsibilities as a Leo club sponsor, the Leo club’s Certificate of Organization, two Leo club extension award certificates, and Leo lapel pins for all charter members of your new Leo club. During a special ceremony, you should present the Certificate of Organization and recognize Leo members with the Leo lapel pins. The extension certificates are meant for the Leo club advisor and the sponsoring Lions club president. If your Lions club would like to recognize additional members, you may request extension certificates from the Leo Club Program Department. This certificate is also suitable for presentation to a Leo who was instrumental in organizing the new club.
